Early Vegetative Growth of Barley And Triticale Sown at Different Seed And Dap Fertilizer Rates under Rainfed Conditions

This study was carried out during the growing season 2020-2021 at two locations (Sumail and Zakho) to influence of different seeding (2,500000, 3000,000 3,500000 seeds.ha-1) DAP (0, 200, 300 kg.ha-1) rates on some early growth characters barley (Hordeum distichum L.) Triticale (X Triticosecale wittmack). The experimental designed as factorial three factors in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with replications. Some pre harvest (flag leaf area, plant height, number total tillers fertile tillers) were measured. results displayed significant superiority all studied for Zakho location compered Sumail location. Also, Barley surpassed crop flag but inferior tillers. Higher numbers recorded experiment lower rate (314.17 compared or other Fertilizer treatments. fertilizer treatment enhanced most traits while their effect not reached level. recommend that crops varieties fewer are favorable water limited environments more studies recommended mainly this our areas very rare rather than its economic importance feeding food processing
